  • First of all, make sure your phone is connected to the internet. In case there is a problem with the internet then you must contact your ISP.
  • Your smartphone should not be working on power saver mode. In case the power saver mode is on then you should turn it off.
  • Also, confirm that you are speaking the language which google is set to understand. You may check the same by opening google app. 
  • Ensure that you have granted permission of using the microphone of your device to the google app. Please note that it is compulsory to give google app this permission in order to use the “Hey Google” feature.
  • Your microphone should be working properly in order to use this feature. You may check the same by giving a call to anyone you know. If the other person is able to hear your voice then your microphone is working alright.
  • Google voice search feature works best on the latest version of the Google app. So, if you are using an obsolete version of the app then you should update the same immediately. 
  • It is also possible that Google might not be recognizing your voice. So, you may reset your voice command in the application.
  • Many a time a simple restart can fix the most complicated problems. In case the problem continues then you should restart your device and try again.
